Curvy Yoga: Yoga for Every Body

The need

Ann Guest-Jelley, founder of CurvyYoga.com had an existing online brand, but needed to make sense of what was possible with the movement that she was creating. Coming to us with a ton of ideas – Anna knew she needed a revamped website to take her idea to the next level. She contacted Proof and knew that beginning with the Understanding Your Branding creative session was the right first move to organize her thoughts and ideas, and to develop a creative and strategic path to success.

The work

During the initial meeting with Proof’s founders, big dreams were put onto paper and the journey began. Over the next six months, Proof worked to set Curvy Yoga on a strategic direction to systematically succeed locally in the Nashville area. Not only did the website get a new, fresh look, but additional content positioned Anna as an expert when it came to issues of body image, yoga, and healthy living.

Additionally, Proof assisted in scheduling community workshops for those interested in taking a Curvy Yoga class. Helping Curvy Yoga earn print and TV mentions, the workshops quickly filled up and landed Anna a regular (paid) teaching job at local community centers, taking her online community offline.

Proof also worked with Anna to produce, film, and edit a brief informational video (see above) as well as a series of Yoga-pose videos and photos for ongoing use on her website, and future use in other printed and interactive collateral.

The result

Curvy Yoga

Anna is currently (with Proof’s help) working on her first eBook of modified yoga positions. She is also looking to take the show on the road, creating more excitement and buzz for what she does.

Anna has developed a well-recognized voice in the yoga community, sharing an important message that regardless of size, shape, mental or physical limitations, yoga can be and is valuable for every body.
